Many children in Laos still do not receive enough educational chances. Often these children live in rural areas without schools, teaching or books. ALC creates an environment for children to develop their ability to learn so that they can get a chance of choosing their own future.

ALC is involved in the entire chain, from writing and publish children's books, to transporting the books into rural areas. ALC also sets up libraries, educates personnel on site, as well as supporting facilities where children come and play. By this work ALC wants to increase children's creativeness and spread the habit of reading.
